It's Ramadan, 1997, in Casablanca. As the Baccalauréat exams approach, Rita and her friends from the commercial middle class are having a good time evading the laws and customs of their nominally Muslim surroundings. They flirt, they party, they study and go to the private Lyautey school, the school that anyone who is anyone in Casa has to send their children to. The boys of the jeunesse dorée drive around town in their cars.
At the same time as the return of her brother Mao from London to pass Ramadan in Morocco, Rita falls for the charms of Youri, another student at the school. But he's Jewish and although Jews and Muslims have a long history of harmonious relations in Morocco, Rita is still worried about what her family would think. Unfortunately, her adored older brother has become more observant in his religious practises during his time away - and less tolerant....

Alors que son frère Mao revient de Londres pour Ramadan, Rita tombe sous le charme d'un autre lycéen, Youri. Mais, celui-ci est juif, ce qui inquiète Rita sur le qu'en-dira-t-on de sa famille. Son frère, justement, semble devenu plus respectueux de la religion et moins compréhensif qu'avant....
