Yama no oto (Sound of the Mountain )(1954) - Mikio Naruse

This is a glorious Japanese film by the unknown to most of the public director, Mikio Naruse. It's a classic melodrama filled with beautiful pictures and magnificent dialogue. Kurosawa, Mizoguchi, Ozu and Imamura should not be more famous from Naruse. Do him justice.
