Release Notes:
When I was growing up, I always used to get Muse and Placebo mixed up
namely because they both adopt this ethereal weirdness to their songs
or maybe it's because Matt Bellamy and Brian Molko sound the same
Anyway, whatever it was, I never really 'got into' either band, despite
the fact that my step-sister used to pump Placebo out of her room every
hour of the day, well, I'm assuming it was Placebo - I could be wrong
Regardless of that though, after hearing their new single, For What
It's Worth, I'm very much regretting that the British trio weren't in
my life during those hectic teenage years, because judging by this
song, there aren't half a cracking collective
With the kind of driving beats that so many rock bands seem to overlook
these days, Placebo mix their edgy sound with something that you can't
quite put your finger on but which makes you want to stick to them like
Velcro.
